The last four performances of DEMONOLOGY, featuring my production of sixsixsix by Gregory S. Moss, are this Weds and Fri-Sun. Come see it. Here’s what Flavorpill had to say when they made us the Editor Pick for theater in Brooklyn: “Given that you’re essentially in an abandoned warehouse, the “anything could happen” atmosphere amplifies this show into absolutely must-see terriftory. We’ll leave it there; to say anything else would be to spoil the brilliant fever-dream you’re in for with Demonology.”

You can get tickets and show info here.

“It’s not about genre – I’ll go see any kind of play – it’s more about creating a unique, unsummarizible event that has some lingering human fingerprints on it.” Greg Moss, in an interview with Adam Szymkowicz. He’s writing my next project, sixsixsix.

I’m directing sixsixsix by Gregory S. Moss in Prague, Dec. 2nd & 3rd. It’s based on Marlowe’s and Svankmajer’s Faust. We’re part of the AXA in Action festival. Come check us out if you’re in Europe, it’s going to be an amazing event.

Prepping for a production in Prague. More info soon, but this is some sweet reference material.
newyorker:

Josef Koudelka’s “Invasion Prague 68”
In this week’s Talk of the Town, Mark Singer visits Josef Koudelka’s exhibition of photographs from the Soviet-led invasion of Prague in August, 1968, on view in Moscow for the first time. Click through for more photos from Koudelka’s “Invasion Prague 68,” with quotes from Singer’s text: http://nyr.kr/usGkx6

A production photo taken by Jim Moore of The Dreams in the Witch House. There’s another shot if you follow the link. The show went really great!
I don’t know how I feel someone coming in, taking photos of a performance I created without my permission, and then offering to sell me the pictures for $15 a pop. It’s certainly an effective business strategy, but it makes me feel a little used. Still, they’re good photos.

“Whether the dreams brought on the fever or the fever brought on the dreams I do not know…”

This weekend I have a small new project going up as part of the Brick Theater’s Tiny Theater Festival, which features six 10-minute shows that all take place in a 6′x6′x6′ cube.

It’s called The Dreams in the Witch House, adapted from the H.P. Lovecraft story, and I’ll be doing the shadow puppetry. You can get tickets here, hope to see you there!

I have a new project coming up this month that you should check out. It’s called Something Wicked. It’s a night of horror-themed one-acts, with a three-course dinner included with the show. Lilla Cafe has 4 1/2 stars on Yelp, so it looks like it will be quite a delicious evening. Hope to see you there!
